Mango wood

Mango wood is obtained from the plantations of mango trees, which primarily thrive in tropical regions such as Southeast Asia. These trees are primarily grown for their fruit. Only when they have reached the end of their productive life cycle are they cut down to make room for new seedlings. This ensures that no tree is cut down unnecessarily and that the forests are continually renewed. This method of cultivation and harvesting is particularly environmentally friendly as it conserves natural resources while promoting biodiversity. Our mango wood furniture pieces are handcrafted with the utmost care to preserve the natural beauty and longevity of the wood.

Rattan

Rattan is obtained from the lianas of tropical palm trees that grow in the dense rainforests of Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia. Rattan plants are extremely fast growing and can be harvested within a few years without harming the forest. This sustainable harvesting practice helps keep forests intact while supporting the local economy. Rattan is light, flexible and yet very robust, making it an ideal material for long-lasting furniture. The handcrafted processing of our rattan furniture preserves the natural structure and flexibility of the material, resulting in unique and environmentally friendly pieces of furniture.

 Bamboo

Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world and is mainly grown in tropical and subtropical regions such as Asia and South America. Bamboo can reach its full height within 3-5 years, making it a renewable resource that requires less land and water than traditional hardwoods. No pesticides or fertilizers are required when growing bamboo, making it particularly environmentally friendly. Harvesting bamboo does not damage the root system, allowing new shoots to grow continuously. Our bamboo accessories are carefully handcrafted to emphasize the material's natural beauty and robustness while leaving a minimal environmental footprint.

Intarsia work

Intarsia work is characterized by its precise geometric patterns and artistic wood connections. This technique, also known as "Taracea", has a long tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. In Andalusia, particularly in cities like Granada, artisans have perfected the art of combining different types of wood, mother-of-pearl and metals into intricate patterns. But Moroccan craftsmen from cities like Fes and Marrakech also use traditional techniques to create the finest woodwork with inlays of bone, ivory and colorful woods. The results are stunning pieces of furniture that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing and reflect the rich cultural history of the country.

Bouclé

Bouclé is a textile fabric made from loops or crimped yarns and has a unique, textured surface. The term originally comes from French and means “loop” or “curl”. Bouclé fabrics are particularly known for their soft feel and interesting appearance, making them ideal for furniture upholstery and decoration. In Morocco, bouclé fabric is often handmade, fusing traditional techniques and modern designs. The production is mostly done on traditional looms, with local craftsmen contributing their craftsmanship and creativity. The fabric can be made of different materials such as wool, cotton or even silk, which gives it a special versatility.

All of our furniture is made by hand from solid wood. Therefore, variations in size, color, workmanship, fabric, texture, natural grain pattern, knots, movement of the wood, etc. are an integral part of the natural production of the products. This is an integral part of our product portfolio and should be viewed as such. We strongly recommend that you fully inform yourself about the nature of the handmade solid wood products we offer in order to avoid later disillusionment. 100% of our goods are tested by third parties, quality test reports are available free of charge upon request. This service is intended to provide our customers with clarity about the production process.
